The blockbuster movie Mankatha has been named as the seventh most searched keyword in India in 2012. The golden jubilee flick of Thala has occupied the seventh place in Google search engine for the current year.
The list is headed by Bollywood superhit movie Bodyguard followed by Ra.One. The other South Indian movie to feature in the list is Telugu blockbuster movie Dookudu.
Many of today’s heroes think themselves as the ‘next big thing’ in Kollywood after delivering a few hit films. Ajith, however, is very different from the rest of them.
Trade circles say that the film, which witnessed a tremendous opening at the Mankatha box-office when released a few months back, has grossed as many as Rs.130 crores as on date, making it the highest-grossing film in the actor’s career.
Thanks to the film’s highly successful showing, Ajith has become the second-best hero in Tamil films after superstar Rajinikanth in terms of ticket sales. This has obviously upped the business of his upcoming film Billa-2 which would now become a ‘hot cake’ among the distribution circles.
